Amber E. Harris a beautiful, faithful, loving mother, sister, daughter & friend
Portville- Amber E. Harris, passed away Tuesday (March 26, 2024) at the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, after a courageous fight with ovarian cancer.
Amber was born on January 16, 1981, in Olean, to Lester W. Harris, Jr., and Valerie M. Latten.
Amber was a 1999 graduate of Portville Central School. She studied cosmetology at the Continental School of Beauty in Olean and worked for many retail and public service businesses, including several area beauty salons.
She loved her music and was an extremely talented and gifted musician, singer and self-taught crafter. Amber enjoyed singing with the Keynote Chorus, knitting, painting and woodworking. She loved her dogs and animals, but most of all, she loved to spend time with her children and family.
Amber is survived by her life partner, Michael Card; mother and step father, Valerie and Jeff Latten; her children, Jaeden D. Harris and Magnum A. Katsigiannis; her brother, Casey A. (Aubree) Harris; her half-brother, Jeremy Olmstead; three nephews and a niece, Jack Harris, Charlotte Harris, Cayden Hudson and Cooper Hudson; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was predeceased by her father, Lester Harris, Jr.; paternal grandparents, Lester W. Sr. and Charlotte Harris; maternal grandparents, W. Edson and Delma J Hendryx.
Friends and family will be received Monday, (April 1, 2024) from 12pm – 3pm at the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc., 51 S. Main St, Portville. A funeral service will begin at 3pm in the funeral home, with Pastor Al Batt officiating. Burial will follow in Chestnut Hill Cemetery.
