Adele J. Chisholm, Loving mother, grandmother and sister.

Olean- Adele J. Chisholm of Goodrich Ave, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2024 at her home after a long illness, surrounded by her loved ones.

Adele was born in Olean, on September 20, 1946, she was the daughter of the late, W. Edson and Delma Reddy Hendryx.  She married David Chisholm in 2003, in Portville, who survives.

She was a 1964 graduate of Portville Central School. Adele worked for BE & K Construction in Birmingham, AL. She loved working construction and loved helping people, through her work with Homecare and Hospice.

Adele is survived by her husband, David; her son’s, John Yaudes, Shayne (Mary Ellen) Yaudes, step-son, Tom (Dana) Chisholm and step-daughters, Tracy Rockwood and Tammy (Ronald) Aaron; sister’s, Lyn (Donald) Griffin, Mary Hendryx and Val (Jeff) Latten; several grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Jack Yaudes; her parents, Edson and Delma; a granddaughter, Lela Jenay Moore; and a brother, Harry Hendryx.

Friends will be received at the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc., 1303 E. State Street, Olean, on Monday (September 23, 2024) from 10 am to 12 pm, with a funeral service starting at 12 pm in the funeral home, Rev. Dr. Anthony Evans will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. View Cemetery.
