Alexander R. Weakfall Sr., loving father, son, nephew, and cousin
Buffalo- Alexander R. Weakfall Sr., passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at home.
Alex was born in Olean on July 2, 1969, the son of Willie Weakfall and Carmen E. Wright Drayton.
He attended Portville Central School and later earned his GED. Alex worked in construction and also for the Buffalo Environmental Expo. He liked playing chess, painting, and building things.
Alex is survived by his daughter, Alesaundra Allen (Alley), and his son, Alexander R. Weakfall Jr; 3 grandchildren, Gabriel Allen Wright, Lukas Allen Wright, and LayLah Allen Wright; his sisters, Gwenlynn Weakfall and Carisa (Weakfall) Miles; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his ex-wife, Renee Weakfall Brown.
He was predeceased by his parents, Willie and Carmen, his grandmother, Elain Wright, a brother, Malcolm Drayton, and a nephew, Michael Wright.
Family will receive friends at the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc., 1303 East State Street, Olean, on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
