Angelo L. Fratercangelo, God lover and people lover
Olean - Angelo L. Fratercangelo, of Wayne St., passed away at home on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, with his loved ones near, after a long illness.
Born March 11, 1950 in Olean, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Louise DeSanto Fratercangelo.
Angelo graduated from Walsh High School in 1969 and went on to attend St. Leo University in Florida, graduating with a Bachelors in Sociology. On December 18, 1976 at St. John’s Church in Olean, he married the former Carol Kohl, who survives.
Angelo worked for Angee’s Restaurant, The Rehabilitation Center, and Hillsbourgh County Schools and was a member of the Mt. Zion Church. Angelo was a people person, and with his love of people, no one was a stranger. He loved to sing and make people laugh, he was happy to cook for family and friends. He was an avid Bills and Yankees fan. Golfing, walking, and going for bike rides were favorite past times.
Angelo is survived by his loving wife, Carol; his children, Damian Fratercangelo of Olean, and Ruth (Rashaud) Coples of Tampa, Fl.; a brother, Anthony (Lisa) Fratercangelo of Olean; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Christina Fratercangelo; and his parents, Nicholas and Louise DeSantos Fratercangelo.
The family will host a celebration of life for Angelo on July 19, 2024 at the Mt. Zion Christian Assembly, 321 Front St, Olean, visitation from 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a service from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. A gathering to follow at 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. for food, drinks and remembrances.
