Little Genesee- Ann M. McIntyre, of Little Genesee, passed away Monday (February 1, 2021) with her daughters by her side.
Born May 24, 1952 in Olean, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Leona Lippert Glover. On May 6, 1972, at St. Mary of the Angels Church in Olean, she married Richard C. McIntyre, who predeceased her on January 28, 2020.
Ann was a graduate of Olean High School, and she received her associates degree in computer technology from OBI. She worked at several businesses in the area, before retiring from the former AVX in Olean.
She was a longtime parishioner of the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels. In her younger years, Ann enjoyed doing cross stitch and needlework. She also enjoyed baking, cooking, and researching her family genealogy.
Surviving are two daughters; Kathy (Jay) Osier of Florida and Deborah (Master Gunnery Sgt., Michael) Young of Mississippi; five grandchildren, Staff Sgt. Chad (Samantha) Osier, Staff Sgt. Katelyn Osier, Shawn Young, Sgt. Jacob Young, and Bryce Young; two sisters, Mary Wilcox and Michaelene Heil; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two brothers; Alvin Glover, Jr., and Eugene Glover, Sr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday (February 4, 2021) at 11am at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels. Due to Covid-19, no one under the age of 18 will be permitted. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels, 202 S. Union Street, Olean.
