Barbara J. Becker

Portville- Barbara J. Becker of Butternut Brook Road, passed away Sunday (September 25, 2022) after a long illness.

Born October 13, 1939, in Olean, she was the daughter of Harry and Eva Bush Moore.  She married Robert W. Becker, Sr., who predeceased her.

In 1971, Barbara opened B&B Drive-In in Portville, and retired in 2016.  In her free time, she loved walking, painting, decorating, and working on her apartments.  She also loved watching and caring for children, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are three children; Daniel (Dawnett) Becker of FL., Craig Becker of Salamanca, and Cindy (Scott) Hatch of Cuba; several grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard (Linda) Moore of South Carolina, Ron (Mary) Moore of Portville; one sister, Shirley Johnson of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Barbara was predeceased by her parents and two sons; Gerald Becker and Robert Becker, Jr., both who passed away in 2022.

Friends will be received at the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc., 51 S. Main Street, Portville on Saturday (October 1, 2022) from 11am-1pm. Funeral services will follow at 1pm at the funeral home. Rev. Dawn Quesenberry, pastor of the United Methodist Church in Portville, will officiate.  Burial will be in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Portville.
