Carol Morris loving aunt
Olean- Carol Morris of Olean, received her heavenly wings Wednesday (February 14, 2024).
Carol was born in Olean on August 21, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Arlene Milks Morris.
Carol was a graduate of Olean High School and enjoyed the class of 65 breakfast club monthly. She graduated from Erie Community College with an associates degree in Occupational Therapy, then continued her education to receive a Bachelors of Science Degree. She loved her profession and spent forty plus years working in various aspects of it.
She enjoyed sewing and was a member of the Southern Tier Quilt Guild. Carol has been a member of the Creekside Chapel (Allegany Free Methodist Church) for most of her life and served the Lord in many capacities through the church. Most recently she participated in the year round packing of shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child.
Carol is survived by five nephews, Kenneth (Anita) Hayes of Georgia, Charles (Patti) Hayes in Tampa FL., Dennis (Armadina) Hayes of Gadsten, AL., David Hayes of Gadsten, AL., and Robert Hayes of Ohio; one niece, Mary (Bruce) Stephan of Sebring, FL.; and several grand and great grand nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, and a sister, Abbie Morris Hayes.
A memorial service will be held at the Creekside Chapel, 2523 Five Mile Rd, Allegany, Saturday (February 24, 2024) at 11am. with Pastor Adam Stein will be officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
