Carrie “Wilber” Clayson, loving mother, grandmother and daughter
Cuba- Carrie “Wilber” Clayson, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Select Specialty Hospital in Erie, PA., after a long illness with her loving family by her side.
Carrie was born in Cuba, on May 13, 1970, she was the daughter of Russell Wilber and Charlotte Bell Burrell.
Carrie graduated from Rushford Central School in 1988, she went on to become an LPN, earning an associate’s degree in nursing. She worked for many years as a Hospice Nurse in the local area. For the last two years, she worked at Cuba Hospital.
Carrie loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She liked to go fishing, taking her grandchildren with her. She had 2 cats and a dog, that she loved very much. Carrie also enjoyed going to the races and her favorite tv shows, The Steve Wilkos Show and Naked and Afraid.
Carrie is survived by her parents, Russell (Debbie) Wilber and Charlotte (Robyn) Burrell; her 3 children, Megan Wilber, Destiny Clayson and Jacob Clayson; 3 grandchildren, Raia Wilber, Dallas Black and Kevin Black; and 2 brothers, Mike (Bobbi) Wilber and Philip (Pam) Wilber.
She was predeceased by 2 siblings, Michelle Wilber and Kevin Wilber.
Family will receive friends at the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc. 1303 East State Street, Olean, Sunday, October 13, 2024 from 1pm to 4pm. Friends are invited to join the family for a dinner following visitation at the Ischua Fire Hall from 5 to 7pm, where great memories and stories can be shared.
