Daniel B. Harder, Jr., loving father, son and brother

Daniel B. Harder, Jr. of Olean, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2024 after a long illness at the Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.

Dan was born in Warsaw, on December 27, 1973, he was the son of the late Daniel B. Harder, Sr. and Effie Shattuck Harder, who survives.

He was a graduate of Olean High School and Alfred State as an auto tech. Dan enjoyed working on cars and hunting. He worked for J & R Auto and was also a chef at Good Times.

Dan is survived by his mother, Effie Harder; his siblings, Jessica (Chuck) VanPelt of Wilseyville, Donnalisa Harder of Arizona and Leon Harder of Olean; several aunts and uncles; and his nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and cousins

He was predeceased by his father, Daniel, Sr., and a sister Melody Harder.; and an uncle Dwight L. Harder.

Family will receive friends for a memorial gathering on Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 12 pm to 2 pm at Guenther Funeral Home, Inc. 1303 E. State St. Olean.
