Dean Neudeck Obituary

Richburg-Dean E. Neudeck, a longtime Richburg resident,  currently residing at the Wellsville Manor Hills, assisted living facility, passed away peacefully Wednesday (January 13, 2021).

Born August 12, 1930 in Salamanca, he was the son of the late, Edward and Lelah Clark Neudeck. He married Verda Merrick on May 26, 1951, who predeceased him.

Dean enlisted in the United States Navy from 1947-1951, serving during the Korean Conflict.  He first worked for Dresser Clark and then for Felmont Oil.  He later was a truck driver for M & C Pipe Supply in Leesburg, FL.

Dean was a 68-year member of the Cuba American Legion #655, and a longtime member of the Cuba- Friendship Masonic Lodge #306.   He was also a member of the Lodge Council Chapter Consistory in Corning and the Eagles Club in Florida.

Dean was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving are four sons; Terry (Mary) Neudeck of Portville, Kevin (Pamela) Neudeck, of Richburg, Andrew (Rhonda) Neudeck of Hudson, FL., and Christopher (Michelle) Neudeck of Fruitland Park, FL.; one daughter, Jane (Greg) Hutchison, of Richburg; thirteen grandchildren; thirty-seven great-grandchildren; fourteen great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his wife, he was predeceased by one brother, Roderick Neudeck; two sisters, Irene Knox and Marion Hobbs; and one daughter-in-law, Bonnie Neudeck.

Private funeral services will be held at the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc, 51 S. Main Street, Portville. Burial will be in Chestnut Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Dean’s name, may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
