Olean- Deochand Hari Singh of 320 S 7th Street, Olean, passed away Wednesday (January 13, 2021) at the Olean General Hospital.
Born October 28, 1966 in Corentyne-Bernice, Guyana, South America, he was the son of Devram and Kowsil Ramcharran Singh. On November 23, 1994, he married Jasmatee Ragoobir, who survives.
Deochand worked as an electronics manufacturer for the former AMC in Olean. He was a humble man, and even though they weren’t well off, he always tried to give his family everything they wanted. Deochand was kind-hearted and always handled his kids with care and love and did his best to protect them. He never asked for anything, but wanted to make sure the kids were safe. He wanted the best for them and to be happy. They will be forever grateful and thankful to have him as a father.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Yuvraj Nickless Singh, Govinda Kishan Singh, Devin Andrew Singh, and Terry Singh; one sister, Rajkomarie Nathos; one brother, Premlall Singh; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc., 1303 E. State Street, on Monday (January 18, 2021) from 10-11am. Funeral services will begin at 11am.
