Diane Joan Gesek

Diane Joan Gesek  loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Olean- Diane Joan Gesek, of Olean, passed away on Monday (November 6, 2023) surrounded by love, with her family by her side. 

Born in California on August 8, 1939, she was the daughter of Vance and Nell Davis Rankin. She married Dr. Daniel J. Gesek in The Little White Chapel, and spent 43 happy years together.   

Diane loved entertaining and cooking, especially when it was for her beloved husband, Daniel, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed traveling, and loved to create beautiful silk flower arrangements.

Aside from her loving husband, Daniel Diane is survived by her children, Shelli Romero, Michael (Amy) Gabler, Daniel (Stacy) Gesek, Mike (Debbie) Gesek and Mark Gesek (fiancé-Debbie Layman); Her grandchildren, Nicholas Gabler, Kassie (Adam) Bianchi, Sarah Gabler, Daniel Gesek III, Gabrielle Baimas, Justin Gesek, Tyler Gesek, Sabrina Romero:  Great grandchildren, Camden Gabler, Evelyn Gabler, Gideon Gabler, Vivian Gabler, Alex Bianchi, Grayson Bianchi and Cecilia Bianchi; and sister, Linda (Rodney Whitlow) Rankin.

She was predeceased by her parents and a sister Chis Rankin.

At Diane’s request, there will be no scheduled visitation or funeral planned. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Olean General Hospital in honor of Diane Gesek.
