Donna M. Watson

Olean- Donna M. Watson of Olean, passed away Thursday (Dec. 23, 2021) at the Pines Health and Rehabilitation Center, in Machias.

Born Oct. 20, 1929, in Raymond Pa., she was the daughter of Floyd and Myra Galpin Perkins.  On Sept. 6, 1947, in Oswayo Pa., she married Robert D. Watson who passed away on Jan. 3, 2021.

Donna graduated from the Hammondsport Central School District in June 1947.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church for 70+ years serving on the Women’s Association, the Garden Club and teaching Sunday school.

Donna enjoyed painting and gardening.   She was an outstanding cook for which she earned the nickname, “Cookie”, and will always be remembered for her famous sourdough pizzas.

She is survived by; four children, Debra (Salvatore) Oddo of Elba, Stephanie (Joseph) Hill of Portville, Michael (Carol) Watson of Allegany and Christopher (Cindy) Watson of Alma; eight grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by; a granddaughter, Summer Hill; and all her siblings, that included 6 brothers and 6 sisters.

A private committal and funeral services will be held at a future date.
