Cuba- Dorothy E. Laborde, formerly of the Haskell Road, Cuba, passed away Thursday (November 17, 2022) at the Cuba Memorial Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility, where she had been residing.
Born October 21, 1921, in Cold Springs, she was the daughter of Charles Grant and Loretta Phillips Blood. She first married Francis Murray, who passed away in 1955. She later married Charles Laborde, who predeceased her on February 16, 2013.
Dorothy worked for ACME Electric in Cuba as well as for Dr. Ciampa and Dr. Gilroy for several years. She was an avid reader and loved to go dancing with her husband, Charles.
She is survived by; her daughter, Sharron (Gerald) Kincaid of Cuba; four grandchildren, Brian (Kelly) Kincaid of Taneytown, MD, Scott (Kristin) Kincaid of Portville, Leigh Ann (John) Thompson of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, and Christopher (Nivia) Murray of Boynton Beach, FL; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to both of her husbands, Dorothy was predeceased by; one son, Richard Murray on October 27, 1997; a daughter-in-law, Sally A. Murray on March 12, 2008; and two sisters, Phyllis Benham and Elizabeth Wiles.
Private burial services will be in Clarksville Cemetery, West Clarksville.
