Edward Manning Margeson III

Olean- Edward Manning Margeson, III, formerly of Olean, passed away March 30, 2021 at the Cuba Skilled Nursing Facility, where he had been residing.

Born August 9, 1952 in Fort Worth, TX., he was the son of the late, Edward and Mildred Riggins Margeson, Jr.  He married Toshiko Mori, who survives.

Ed was an industrial engineer with the former Acme Electric Co.  He enjoyed playing strategic war games on his computer, and collecting comic books and coins.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Scott (Rebecca) Margeson of Boston, MA; one granddaughter, Penelope Margeson; one brother, Donald Margeson; two step-children, JoAnn (Scott) Pierce of Portville and Norman (Anita) Pitts of Florida; and his step-grandchildren, Kym Miller, Lindsey Newburg, Mikel Pierce, Jennifer Olson, Chelsey Pierce, Eric Pitts, James Pitts, and Tiffany Pitts.

Private funeral services will be held on Friday (April 9, 2021) at the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc., 1303 E. State Street. Burial will follow in Mt. View Cemetery.
