Edward S. Wyviorka, loving father, and grandfather

Olean- Eward S. Wyviorka, 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at the Field of Dreams, surrounded by his children.

Born July 28, 1941, in Olean, he was the son of the late Joseph and Rose Bandzera Wyviorka. On March 18, 1972, he married Barbara J. Everitt, who passed away on July 17, 1997.

Ed was a graduate of Olean High School and continued his education at the University of Cincinnati, where he earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering. He spent his career working for Agway and Dresser Rand.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Jeanine (Steven) Marra of Olean, and Laurie (Kevin) Nelson of Concord, NC., and 1 son, Edward R. (Ellen) Wyviorka of Ashburn, VA.; and 7 grandchildren.

Ed was predeceased by his wife, Barbara; his parents, Joseph and Rose; 3 sisters, Mary Melnyk, Rose Malone and Annie Malone; and 2 brothers, Joseph Wyviorka and Anthony Wyviorka.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 1 – 3 pm at the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc. 1303 East State Street, Olean, with the funeral to follow at 3 pm., in the funeral home, Chaplain Terry Bush will officiate.  Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
