Allegany- Enise J. Puccinelli, of the Five Mile Rd in Allegany, passed away at home unexpectedly on Sunday, December 29, 2024.
Enise was born in Buffalo on February 24, 1949, the daughter of the late Albert John and Josephine Teresa Valenti Puccinelli.
Enise graduated from Kensington High School. She earned her certification as a nursing aide and worked at the Pines Nursing Home in Olean. She loved to watch and feed the birds. Enise loved her feline companions; Sunny, Sammy, Smokey, Callie, and Onyx. In the summers, she would attend the many church festivals, and go camping with her family. She lived through Hurricane Alicia in August 1983, while huddled in a bathtub and on the phone with her sister Vanda. Bingo was a favorite activity with her sisters, Naomi, Diane, and Vanda. She was the life of the party with her impersonations of James Brown, QVC, Aunt Ida, and other family members.
Enise is survived by her sister, Vanda (Thomas) Samol; brother-in-law, Gregory Church; many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Josephine; her sisters, Diane, Camille, and Naomi; and her brother, Albert.
Friends will be received at the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc., 1303 E. State Street, Olean, on Friday (January 3, 2025) from 4 pm to 6 pm. A funeral service will start at 6 pm in the funeral home. Chaplain Terry Bush will officiate.
