Gary E. Malicki
Apr 30, 1956 – Jun 29, 2024
Malicki, Gary E. of Ellicottville, NY., beloved husband of 46 years to Debora (nee Zasowski). They were soulmates since kindergarten. Dearest father of Andrew; loving son of the late Edward and Gertrude Malicki; brother of Mary Ann (Jablonski) and the late Walter; survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Gary had a multitude of treasured friends; many he considered his family.
In the 1970–80’s, he was a radio personality in Buffalo, Allentown, and Erie. In the 80-90’s, Gary and his wife owned Take-Out Video in Depew, NY. He received the Depew Police Dept. award for helping to capture a suspect. He was awarded Scoutmaster of the Year of Troop 659 in Cheektowaga, where he created a Youth Leader Training Program that mentored many boys. He co-played guitar for services on the USS Little Rock and at Mass led by Bishop Malone at a Camp-O-Ree for Scout Leaders. In his final years Gary was a writer for Ellicottville’s Villager newspaper. He retired from Bank of America in 2021. Gary enjoyed camping, movies, poker, writing and playing guitar.
A Celebration of Gary’s Amazing Life will be announced for a later date and time.
