Gerald F. “Jerry” Jordan Sr.

PORTVILLE --- Gerald F. “Jerry” Jordan Sr. of Brooklyn St. passed away at Buffalo General on Saturday, October 5, 2024, surrounded by his loving family, following complications from surgery at Olean General Hospital.

Jerry was born October 26, 1938 in Bradford, PA., he was the son of the late Hubert L. Sr., and Sarah Jane Fargo Jordan. On May 23, 1959, he married the former Joan Foster, who survives.

Jerry graduated from Portville Central School in 1956. He started working for Clark Bros. after graduation as a draftsman, and he retired from Dresser Rand in 1999 as a purchasing agent. Jerry was a jack of all trades. He liked to play golf and travel. He and Joan traveled to their second home near Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, monthly since his retirement. They also wintered in Florida during the winter months, making many lifelong friends at the community of Lakeshore.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 65 years, Joan; his children, Jerry Jordan Jr. of Portville, Jeffrey (Sue) Jordan of Cuba, Jonathan (Kimmy) Jordan of Olean, Jacqueline (Howard) Weakland of Madison, NC., and Jennifer Jordan of Rochester; 10 grandchildren, Taryn Jordan, Jerry Jordan III, and Jesse Jordan, Jason (Emylee) Jordan, Brieanne Jordan, Erica Jordan, Stephanie (Chris) Soliz, Matthew Weakland, Juan Green Jordan, and Javier Green Jordan; 7 great-grandchildren, Davina, Kayden, Luca, Emily, Nicholas, Payton Joan, and Samuel; 3 step-grandchildren, Garth Boldt, Garrett (Chelsea) Boldt and Brittany Boldt; and 3 step-great grandchildren, Bradley, Michaela and Brayden; a brother, Mickey (Millie) Jordan; brother-in-law, Jim Kennedy Sr. and brother-in-law Frank Aloi Sr.; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, Hubert Sr., and Sarah; and a sister Judy Kennedy.

Per Jerry’s request there will be no visitation or services.
