Irene Wesley

Olean- Irene Wesley of Euclid Ave., passed away Friday (July 29, 2022) at the Absolut of Allegany.

Born February 2, 1945, in Vienna Austria, she was the daughter of Jaroslav and Ivanka Gurolchuk Hluchowecky.  She married George Wesley, who predeceased her on September 1, 1997.

Irene received her Masters in Education and was a teacher for several years before opening her own medical billing company.  In her free time, she loved gardening and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Irene is survived by; three children, Christina (Matthew) Thrall of Rochester, Lesha Wesley of Olean, and Natalia (Brian) Doherty of Garnet Valley, PA; seven grandchildren, Sophie and Lilly Thrall, Adrian, Anna, and Axl Bohanowycz, and Juliana and Alex Doherty.

Friends will be received at the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc., 1303 E. State Street, Olean on Saturday (August 6, 2022) from 12-2pm with funeral services beginning at 2pm.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
