Olean- Jack E. Kincaid, Sr., of 1315 W. Sullivan Street, passed away Friday (March 25, 2022) at his home, surrounded by his family.
Born March 20, 1939, in Olean, he was the son of the late Harry and Thelma Sheering Kincaid. He married the former Marlene Cottone, she predeceased him on September 28, 1995.
Jack was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving from 1956 until 1959. He worked for many years as a machinist for Dresser Rand in Olean.
He was a life member of the Hinsdale American Legion post 250. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagle, Olean Loyal Order of Moose Lodge, and the Elks Lodge. In his free time, he loved watching Western movies and playing darts.
Surviving are two children; Edward Kincaid of Olean and Kathleen (Frank Putt) Kincaid of Olean; three grandchildren, Kodey Kincaid, Tayalynn Harris, and Paisley Kincaid; and one brother, Jerry W. (Sharron) Kincaid.
In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by one brother, Walter “Buck” Kincaid and two sisters, Mary A. Gaylor, and Peg Petrillo.
Friends will be received at the Guenther Funeral Home Inc., 1303 E. State Street, Olean on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral services will be private. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany with full military honors accorded by the Allegany American Legion.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
