Olean- Jacquelyn A. Gattuso, a lifetime resident of Olean, passed away peacefully Thursday (February 2, 2023) at the Pines Health and Rehabilitation Center in Olean.
Born October 23, 1928, in Olean, she was the daughter of the late John and Helen Hollander Schnell. On February 22, 1947, in Olean, she married Bruno (Bernie) Gattuso, who predeceased her on July 12, 1995.
Jackie was a graduate of Olean High School, Class of 1946. In her younger years, she worked for Clark Brothers in Olean, Carnahans Women’s Store, S & H Green Stamps, and McCaffreys in Allegany. She was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Basilica and volunteered with their bereavement committee.
She is survived by; three sons, Drew (Kathy) Gattuso of Olean, Todd R. (Ann Laviolepto) Gattuso of Framingham, MA, and Matthew (Nancy) Gattuso of Wisconsin; five grandchildren, Jacquie, Amy, David, Stephan, and Ariel; several great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Antionette Ingleright; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, Jackie was predeceased by; one grandson, Jason Gattuso; and two sisters, Donna Robbins and Marilyn Carey.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday (February 7, 2023) at 10am at the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc., 1303 E. State Street, Olean. Burial will follow in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany.
