Obituary

JAMES BELL SR. OBITUARY

James Charles Bell Sr., Born June 15th, 1942 in Richburg, New York, went to be with the lord on September 14th, 2022, at his residence in Hickory, NC. He was the son of the late Marion Connors Bell, and George Davison Bell.

U.S. Navy Veteran, he was a Crane Operator on the USS Essex, 1960-1964, during the Bay of Pigs and The Cuban Blockade. After his service, he took up the occupation of Meat Cutter, and owned Bell's Butcher Shop and Deli in Oklahoma for several years.

He loved all animals especially horses and his dog, Buddy. He also enjoyed working on old vehicles, adventures, meeting, and sharing jokes with everyone he met. He made new friends everywhere he traveled across the country.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jerry Bell and Sister Diane Smith. He is survived by two brothers, Jack Bell of Kane, PA and George Bell of Bolivar, NY, his five children, Kimberley Bell Howard of Hamptonville, NC, James C. Bell Jr. and wife Yvette of Clarksville, TN, Heidie Bell Bryant and husband Forrest of Thomasville NC, Jade C. Bell and wife Jolene of Johnson City, TN, and Joshua C. Bell of Oklahoma City, OK, 11 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.

He will be deeply missed by his family, and everyone that had the pleasure of meeting him over the years.
