James Good Obituary

Olean- James E. Good, a longtime Olean resident, most recently a resident of the Wellsville Manor, passed away Friday (November 25, 2022) at Jones Memorial Hospital, in Wellsville.

Born September 26, 1938, in Clearfield, PA., he was the son of the late, Edward and Ruth Smith Good. He married Donna Smith, who survives.

Jim worked as a mechanic for Knights Dodge in Franklinville and later for the former Marra Brothers Chrysler in Olean for many years. He was a fireman for the Franklinville Volunteer Fire Department, a member the Olean Loyal Order of Moose Lodge and the Elks Lodge in Olean. Jim was an avid hunter and fisherman and a longtime Governor of the Conservation Club in Franklinville.

Besides his wife, Jim is survived by six children, Virginia Breton of Machias, James Good, II of Buffalo, Melody Good of Buffalo, Candy (Todd) Blossom of Olean, Pamela (Justin) Foster of Utica, and Debrenda Good of Olean; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, Raymond (Carolyn) Good of Salamanca; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by; one sister, Edith (Pete) Bartlett.

A memorial service for Jim will be announced at a later date, and at the convenience of the family.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Wellsville Manor.
