James E. Johnson

Portville- James Edward Johnson, a lifelong resident of Portville, passed away Friday (February 17, 2023) following a short illness.

Born on March 21, 1954, in Olean, he was the son of Richard S. Johnson and Joan Schnellmann Johnson, who predeceased him.

Jim was a 1972 graduate of Portville Central School. He was employed at Dresser Clark in Olean for numerous years and then for Johnson Insurance Agency of Olean.

He is survived by; his brother, Kirk Johnson of Cuba; his sister, Deb Johnson of Cuba; two nephews, Matt Johnson of Olean and Marc (Stephanie) Johnson of Washington, D.C.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
