James L. Todd, loving father, grandfather, and brother

Portville- James L. Todd, of Lillibridge Road, passed away Monday (November 13, 2023) at home, surrounded by family after a short illness.

Born February 8, 1938, in West Clarksville, he was the son of the late George and Dora Murray Todd. Jim married Patricia J. Todd, who passed in 2018. He later married Cathleen Todd, who passed in 2020.

Jim was a graduate of Portville Central School. He worked for over 25 years (1973-2000) as a semi-driver for UPS. Jim was a member of the Portville Masonic Lodge # 579 and the Order of Eastern Star Tyler-Mizpah # 97. Jim loved spending time in his garden and was also a member of the Portville Garden Club.

Jim is survived by his children, Keith (Sheila) Todd and Krenda (Dan) Hale; three step-children, Dawn Woodruff, Lisa Carlson, and Andy Carlson; grandchildren, Christopher (Heather) Todd, Pamela Wiatrowski, Ashley (John) Okkerse, Aaron (Michelle) Hale; a sister, Barbara Bliven of Belmont; a significant other, Sylvia Subject.

He was predeceased by his parents; his wives, Patricia J. Todd and Cathleen A. Todd; a son, Kevin D. Todd; sisters, Esther Carey and Doris Swetland; brothers, Malcolm Todd and Lawrence Todd.

Friends will be received at the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc., 51 S. Main St, Portville, on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. There will be a Masonic service at 6:45 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday (November 16, 2023) at 11 a.m. at the Bethany Lutheran Church, 6 Leo Moss Drive, Olean. Burial will be in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Portville, at the convenience of the family.
