Jeffrey V. Warner
Portville- On Sunday, October 13, 2024, Jeffrey Vern Warner passed away in his home, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, with all of his family by his side.
Born September 16, 1962, in Olean, he was the son of Nancy and James Warner. On December 29, 1990, Jeff married his better half, Karen M. Warner.
Jeff was a resident of Portville and graduated from Portville Central School. He attended St. Bonaventure University and had a masters degree in Education and Spanish.
Jeffrey was a Spanish teacher and soccer coach at Andover Central School for many years. He loved teaching all grades and was always there to lend a hand to all of his coworkers. He was well known for jumping on desks and his ability to make every person feel welcome.
After teaching high school, Jeff moved on to become a Spanish professor at St. Bonaventure University. Jeffrey loved working at SBU, especially working with his best friend, Jose` Medrano. On April 25, 2024, Jeffrey was awarded the Adjunct Faculty Award for Professional Excellence.
Jeffrey was a huge family man. He loved to spend his free time playing Bingo with his wife Karen, late night chats with Nikita, football chats with Jordan, gossiping with Bree, and cards with Paula, Dick and Ronnie.
Jeffrey is survived by his wife, Karen; his children, Nikita Warner, Bree (Jordan, who he loved as much as his own) Reed, and Zeke Warner; his grandchildren, Elton, Evee, Rosalie, Harper, Wesley Vern and Aspen, were his true purpose in life. He was the best Papa in the entire world. He spent every single day with his grand-babies and loved every single minute of it; his parents, Nancy and James Warner; and four siblings, LuAnn, Mike, Kim and Bo; and some amazing nieces and nephews.
There will be a private celebration of Jeffrey’s life at a later date.
