John B. Donnelly Jr., loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother

Portville- John B. Donnelly Jr., passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the Olean General Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

John was born in Olean on May 31, 1961, he was the son of the late John and Agnes Fitzsimmons Donnelly Sr. He married the former Tammy Hatzell, who survives.

He graduated from Olean High School, then for several years drove taxi for Napoleon Taxi and AlleCatt Taxi. John later worked as a motor coach driver for Blue Bird Coach Lines, Coach USA, Covered Wagon Tours and Niagara Scenic. In his off time, he loved to go camping at Breezy Point and spend time with his family. His 3 canine companions, Abbey, Bentley and Baylee, would go riding with him when ever possible. He and Tammy would fit trips into Myrtle Beach to see special friends.

John is survived by his loving wife, Tammy; his stepmom, Anna Lee Donnelly; his children, Christopher (Kiley) Donnelly, Ryan (Julie) Donnelly, Amber Donnelly, Anthony (Brianna) Hatzell, Kristopher (Britt) Bell and Michael (Kiley) Donnelly; grandchildren, Blake, Colt, Khyree, Kyle, Savannah, Emma, Caleb, Cheyenne, Lily, Bentley, Liam, Hayley, Rhett, Lane and 1 more on the way; siblings, Sharon (Bill) Papasergi, Molly (Tammy) Mesler, Patrick (Lisa) Donnelly, Donna (Steve) Crowley, Jackie Mousaw, Julianne Mousaw, Frances (Shanna) Mousaw, John Mousaw, Ivan Mousaw and Donald (Melanie) Mousaw; and many nieces and nephews, including 2 special nieces, Erica (Mitchell) Hatzell and MiKayla Hatzell; and a special cousin Mike Fitzsimmons.        

He was predeceased by his parents, John and Agnes; a brother, Michael Donnelly; a sister, Bonnie Bal.

Family will receive friends on Friday (February 7, 2025) from 3 pm to 6 pm at the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc., 51 South Main Street, Portville, with a funeral starting at 6 pm in the funeral home with Rev. Bruce Taylor officiating. Burial will be at convenience of the family.
