Joyce M. Suchora, loving wife, mother, and grandmother

Olean- Joyce M Suchora of Olean passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 2, 2025. 

Joyce was born in Olean on March 15, 1948, to the late Vincent and Genevieve Balcerzak Kwiatkowski.  On November 16, 1968, in the Transfiguration Church, she married Robert Suchora, who survives. 

Joyce graduated from Walsh High School and was a lifetime member of the Pulaski Club and a member of the Ladies’ Auxiliary.  She enjoyed her flower garden, spending time with her family, watching Yankee games, and working on her puzzles.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Robert; two sons, Michael Suchora of Cleveland, OH, and David Suchora of Olean, and a daughter, Susan (Jay) Welles of Mendon, NY; a sister, Ruth (Richard) Suchora; two grandchildren, Evan and Connor; and several nieces and nephews. 

She was predeceased by her parents, Vincent and Genevieve Balcerzak Kwiatkowski, a sister, Marlene Chesner, and a brother-in-law, Donald Chesner.

Family will receive friends Friday, June 6, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm with a funeral service starting at 3:00 pm.at the Guenther Funeral Home, 1303 East State Street, Olean.  Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
