June E. Bush

Olean- June E. Bush of Olean, also known as Jean, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at the age of 100, at The Pines of Olean, with her loving family by her side.

Born in Bolivar on November 17, 1924, the daughter of the late Harry and Mary Whitzer Bush.

Jean graduated from Bolivar Central School. She worked as a secretary for the Cattaraugus County Health Department. A devout member of the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels, donating her time to be on the Thursday morning clean team, and also ironing the altar linens. A long-time crafter and quilter, she created many beautiful works.

Jean is survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Mary; her eight siblings and their spouses, Harry (Margaritte) Bush, George (Joan) Bush, and William (Regis) Bush, Virginia (Thomas) Lagonegro, Josephine Bush, Marion (Robert) Murphy, Donna (James) Melville, and Mary Lou (Robert) Haught.

Friends will be received on Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at the Guenther Funeral Home, 1303 E. State St., Olean, with a funeral service at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
