Kenneth J. VanDeWalker, loving husband, father, and grandfather

Olean- Kenneth J. VanDeWalker, of Olean, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Olean General Hospital, with loving family by his side.

Ken was the son of Mary Shattuck. On February 14, 1959, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Olean, he married the former Rosalie Prymak, who survives.

A graduate of Olean High School, Ken attended Jamestown Community College. He worked as a truck driver for Century Wholesale in Hamburg until his retirement. Ken was a member of the St. Stephen’s Club. He was very crafty, doing woodworking, and holding jewelry making, and stained-glass classes.

Ken is survived by his loving wife, Rosalie, and his children, Debbie (Joe) Kwiatkowski, Kenny (Michelle) VanDeWalker, and Michael VanDeWalker; 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

He was predeceased by his mother, Mary, and his daughter, Anne Marie Howard, in 2023.

A Celebration of Ken’s Life will be held at a later date and time.
