Portville- Lesley L. Rowe, of Portville, passed away at home on Monday (September 13, 2021) following a brief illness.
Born September 8, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Lester “Tink” and Caroline Fairbanks. She was formerly married to James B. Rowe, who survives. She has been with her longtime companion, Donald Haight for the past thirty years, he also survives.
Lesley was a 1964 graduate of Portville Central School. She worked at the former Bell Telephone Company, St. Bonaventure University, and the Pines Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Lesley enjoyed gardening, baking (especially apple pies), and spending time with her great-grandchildren and friends.
Surviving are three sons and one daughter; James Rowe of Arcade, John (Amy) Rowe of Rush, and Thomas (Amy) Rowe of Portville; and Jennifer (Alan) Lockwood of Richburg; her grandchildren, Devyn and Peyton Rowe, Curtis, Courtney, and Catrina Rowe, Alyssa (Zachary) Newcome and Alexis Rowe, Alan (Emily) Lockwood, and Raquel (Gary) Burdick; two great-grandchildren, Ellen and Adaline Lockwood; one sister Sue (Kenny) Yocum of Gulfport, MS; and several nieces and nephews.
At Lesley’s request, there will be no public visitation or services. Burial will be in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Portville, and at a later date.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Cattaraugus County SPCA, 2944 Olean-Hinsdale Road, Olean.
