Obituary
Olean- Lorraine A. Young, a longtime Olean resident, passed away Tuesday (July 4, 2023) at the Olean General Hospital.
Born April 29, 1940, in Olean, she was the daughter of Wilbur G. and Elizabeth (Betty) Lott. Lorraine was a graduate of Olean High School and worked for several establishments in the area including the former Bradners Department Store and the Castle Restaurant.
She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are four children; Brenda Fortuna of Olean, Valerie Mueller of Olean, Christopher (Carrie) Young of Washington, and Michael Young of Olean; five grandchildren, Cole Fortuna, Colin and Natalie Young, and Cody and Karissa Young; one great-grandson, Cooper; one brother, Ronald Lott of Olean and one sister, Jeanne (Marvin) Jarrard of Inverness, FL.
Friends will be received at the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc., 1303 E. State Street, Olean on Sunday (July 9, 2023) from 11 am-1 pm, when funeral services begin. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
