Olean- Malcolm Jabar Drayton of West State St. passed away unexpectedly on Saturday (December 23, 2023) in Rochester.

Malcolm was born on September 7, 1972, in Olean, he was the son of the late Allester and Carmen E. Wright Drayton. He married the former Anne Barnett, who survives.

Malcolm graduated from Portville Central School. He worked as a truck driver for Western Express. His favorite past time was his family. He liked music, rapping, and dance. He would go fishing when he could.

Surviving is his wife, Anne; children Brittany Matya, Miquella Seawright, Alanea Drayton, Malquam Drayton, Merisa Drayton, Anisha Drayton, Apollo Drayton, Malanna Drayton; step-children, Jocelynn Evan, Tia Barber, and Braelyn Barber; six grandchildren; siblings, Gwenlynn E. Weakfall, Alexander Weakfall and Carisa Miles; many nieces and nephews; two uncles, three aunts and many cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents, Allester and Carmen; and his grandmother Elaine Wright.

Friends will be received at the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc., 51 S. Main St, Portville, on Tuesday (January 16, 2024) from 2-4pm and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
