Marcianne (Kubiak) Suda

Marcianne (Kubiak) Suda, 74, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2021, surrounded by family and friends, after an 8 year battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was born in Olean, to Joseph L. Kubiak and Jennie (Spino) Kubiak on March 16, 1947. She is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, Chester Francis Suda; her twin sister, Joanna Chasteen, The Villages, Florida; a brother Terrence A. Kubiak, Daytona, Florida; a brother, Joseph B. Kubiak, The Villages, Florida; a sister, MaryGrace Smyth of Bunnell, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

She graduated Olean High School in 1965 and Olean Business Institute in 1968. After her marriage in 1968, she moved to Rochester, with her husband to begin their married life. She was employed at Weckesser Brick Company for 42 years and gradually worked up to Vice President. She retired in 2012 and moved to The Villages.

Marcianne was a member of the Association of Women in Construction and the Red Hatters Society. She loved living in Olean, and her wishes were to be buried at St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Allegany, surrounded by the beautiful Allegany Mountains.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Olean on April 23, 2022, at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels. The church, her and her twin sister were married in a double ceremony on April 20, 1968.
