Margaret F. Swinko

Olean- Margaret F. Swinko, a longtime Olean resident, passed away Sunday (October 9, 2022) at the Underwood Manor in Hinsdale.

Born August 08, 1920, in Clymer, PA., she was the daughter of the late Michael and Helen Scerba Swinko.

Margie worked for Cinematronics in San Diego California for several years.  She was considered a cornerstone to the company and during her employment she had perfect attendance for 5 years and 8 months. She later moved to the Olean area in 1985 and worked for McGraw- Edison.

Margie had a heart of gold with many interests, including bowling and bingo.  She was also an excellent cookie maker.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Margie was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.

A Celebration of Margie’s life will be held at a later date and at the convenience of the family.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels Church, 202 S. Union Street, Olean.
