Marie Lawton

Portville-Marie R. Lawton of 863 Smith Road, Portville, passed away Friday (December 16, 2022) at her home, with her family by her side.

Born November19, 1928, in Ontario, Canada she was the daughter of the late, Frank and Marie L. Moreau King.  On June 25, 1947 at St. Mary of the Angels Church in Olean, she married Henry W. Lawton, who predeceased her.

Marie is survived by; two daughters, Marie Kuzdzal of Portville and Martha (Dan) Fonzi of Georgia; one sister, Blanche Shaner; fourteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Marie was predeceased by; one son, Christopher P. Lawton; one sister Prima Allen; and one son-in-law Ronald Kuzdzal.

There will be no services for Marie at this time. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany.
