Nancy Rae (Payne) Carr loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother           

Olean- Nancy Rae (Payne) Carr passed away on Saturday (January 20, 2024) at home with her loving family, after a short illness.

Nancy was born on September 3, 1936 in Olean, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Marion Payne. On September 3, 1955, in Austin PA, she married Alton M. Carr, who predeceased her on April 12, 1999.

Nancy graduated from the Austin PA High School. Her favorite job was that of Household Executive. She also worked for the American Cancer Society, Park & Shop Service Store and NorthStar Bank. She was a volunteer with her church, Christ United Methodist Church in Olean. She also volunteered at Olean General Hospital. Nancy enjoyed baking and sharing the goodies with her family, who she loved spending time with.

Nancy is survived by her children, Danny (Toni) Carr, Michael (Bonny) Carr, Jack (Diane) Carr, and Amy (Roger) Burton; her grandchildren, Nicholas, Kristen, Brian, Ryan, Sean, Justina, Alex, Jadon, Riley, Bryce, Elizabeth, Drew, Kirsten and Alexandrea; great-grandchildren, Aryiana, Mason, Atticus, Preston, Peter, Ava, Elijah and Maverick; a brother, Jack (Pat); and sister-in-law, Arlene.

She was predeceased by her husband, Alton; a brother, William and a baby brother.

Family will receive friends at Christ United Methodist Church 633 Linwood Ave, Olean, on February 3, 2024, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Chad Sayers officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Austin, PA., at the convenience of the family.
