IN REMEMBRANCE OF NANCY ANN (HATCH) RENNER

Cypress, TX- Nancy Ann Hatch died September 1, 2025, while with her daughters in Texas

She was born on December 2, 1934, to LaVern and Josephine Hatch of Portville, NY.

Nancy was a 1952 graduate of Portville Central School. She married Ruddy Sargent in 1953, and they were parents to 4 children.

Most recently, in 2008, Nancy moved to Florida with her soul mate Joseph Hartwig.

Besides being a mom, Nancy was a bookkeeper and was also an interior decorator. 

She loved God and her family, especially all her kids, grandkids and, great-grandchildren. She loved baking, traveling, singing (especially with her brother Bruce), Sudoku, and shopping. In her later years, she enjoyed keeping up with family on Facebook.

Nancy is survived by her partner, Joseph Hartwig, of Winter Park, FL.; 4 children: J Jeffrey (Karen) Sargent of Portville, NY, Cheryl (Bruce) Simokat of Cypress, TX, Randy Sargent of Melbourne, FL, Robin Sargent of Cypress, TX.; 5 grandchildren, Doug (Sara), Kristin (Craig), Mike (Katie), Chris, and Megan; 9 great-grandchildren, Makayla, Savannah, Madison, Josie, Brody, Gavin, Lucas, Landon, and Lucy; a brother, Harold (Corky) Hatch of Port Orange, FL; many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Family will receive friends at Bethel Lutheran Church in Portville, NY, on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, for a visitation from 10 to 11 am, with funeral services starting at 11 am. Burial will be at Chestnut Hill Cemetery. For those unable to attend in person, the funeral service will be livestreamed on Zoom. Instructions may be found on our website, www.guentherfh.com

In lieu of flowers, Nancy requests memorials be made to Bethel Lutheran Church or St Jude’s Children’s Hospital on her behalf.
