Norma J. Holtz, beloved aunt

Olean- Norma J. Holtz, of Olean, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 23, 2024 at the Pines of Olean.

Norma was born in Allegany, on February 25, 1932, to the late Charles G. and Laura V. Miller Holtz.

Norma was a graduate of Allegany Central School. She worked most of life as an aide at St. Francis Hospital. For several years, Thursdays were game days with her sister Vivian and her sister-in-law, Kathryn, which they all very much enjoyed. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Allegany, had a love of animals, especially dogs, cats, and birds. She loved to read a good mystery, especially James Patterson. Perkins was her go to place for dinner, with potato soup and a BLT. She was a thoughtful woman, always asking how others were doing. She said goodbye by saying, I’ll see you, when I see you.

Norma is survived by several nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews; and a brother-in-law, Rick Constant.

She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Laura; 5 sisters, Ruth Bennett, Doris Holtz, Rita Bennett, Vivian Layton and Carol Constant and 5 brothers Edward Holtz, Thomas Holtz, Charles Holtz, John Holtz and Floyd Holtz.

Per her wishes, there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 1:30 p.m., in Allegany Cemetery, Allegany, with Chaplain Terry Bush officiating.
