Cuba- Onalee R. Thurst, of 2575 Route 305, Cuba, passed away Wednesday (November 9, 2022) at the Olean General Hospital.
Born June 8, 1948, in Hornell, she was the daughter of Gilbert and Doris Welch Crum. She married Martin Thurst, who predeceased her.
Onalee was a waitress for many years at Spring Hill Restaurant and later she worked as a prep cook for Spragues. She was a longtime member of Clarksville Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary and enjoyed crossword puzzles in her free time.
Onalee is survived by; her mom, of Shinglehouse, PA; three children; Christina Foster of Cuba, Marcina Thurst of Cuba, and Shane (Stefanie) Thurst of Olean; three grandchildren, Marrissa (Scott) Millea, Jilliann Foster, and Cameron Thurst; four great-grandchildren, Colton Millea, Guinevere Millea, Spencer Foster-Cook, and Avalynn Moore; one sister, Rhonda Sheppard; three brothers, Tom (Carol) Crum, Doug (Donna) Crum, and Merle (Darlene) Crum; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her dad and one brother, Wayne “Skip” Crum.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
Memorials, if desired, may be made at any Community Bank to the Town of Clarksville Playground Fund, “Play it Forward.”
