Richard Weller

Franklinville- Richard R. Weller, a longtime Franklinville Resident, passed away Friday (September 30, 2022) at the Olean General Hospital.

Born March 26, 1937, in Franklinville, he was the son of Leila M. Weller.

Richard was a Veteran of the United States Army and worked for Franklinville Central School District. He a was lifetime member of the Franklinville Fire Department, a member of the Franklinville Snowmobile Club, and the Franklinville American Legion Memorial Post 526. Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping.  He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family.

Richard is survived by; two sons, Rick Weller of Virginia and Roger Weller of Franklinville; five grandchildren, Robert Schmitter, Dakota Weller, Jason Weller, Cyle Weller, and Griffin Weller; and many cousins.

He was predeceased by his mom and half- sister, Betty Kenworthy.

A celebration of Richard’s life will be held at a later date and at the convenience of the family.
