Robert E. Faulkner, loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather

Olean- Robert E. Faulkner, of Faulkner Rd, passed away August 1, 2024 at the Olean General, surrounded by his loving family.

Bob was born in Olean on November 8, 1934, he was the son of the late Chester and Evelyn Jordan Faulkner.  In 1956, he married the former Bonita Elliott, who predeceased him on November 30, 2006.

After high school, Bob joined the U.S. Army and served from 1955 to 1958. He loved planting and working in his garden, squirrel hunting was another pastime he enjoyed. Bob had a circle of family and friends that enveloped him and supported him throughout his life, especially after the passing of his daughter, Marylynn. He loved and appreciated all of you.

He is survived by his sons, Melvin (Paula) Faulkner, Michael (Julie) Faulkner; and son-in-law, Thomas Page; 5 grandchildren, Ryan Faulkner, Chad (Jennifer) Faulkner, Adam (Jeong Hee) Faulkner, Breanna Faulkner and Chet Faulkner; 8 great grandchildren, with his 9th expected in January; a brother, Donald (Sue) Faulkner; a sister, Diane Shaw.

Bob was predeceased by his wife, Bonita; daughter, Marylynn Faulkner Page; parents, Chester and Evelyn; and brothers, Richard and Chester Faulkner.

Friends will be received for a memorial service at the Chestnut Hill Cemetery pavilion at 10 a.m., Friday, August 8, 2024, with Bruce Taylor officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the Allegany American Legion. Burial will be in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Portville,

Memorials if desired may be made to a charity of the donor’s choosing.
