Robert w. Jankowski

Orwell, Ohio – Robert W. Jankowski, 57, of 87 Staley Rd., formerly of Olean, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 after a brief battle with cancer while under hospice care at the Eagle Pointe Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where he had been residing.

Born January 18, 1964 in Olean, he was one of 4 children born to Walter and Marie Jankowski. Robert never married.

Robert graduated from Olean High School, Class of 1982. With a passion for culinary arts, he worked as a Journeyman Baker at St. Bonaventure University. His strong aptitude for business and technology led him to achieve degrees in business administration and serve in numerous technology roles.

Friends and family close to Robert knew he was never shy to express his political voice, and with his bright and witty sense of humor, he always had something funny to share. Robert enjoyed technology, computers, social media, and music. He spent years sharing his talent as a disc jockey for many events.

Surviving is; his mother, Marie Jankowski; one sister, Kristine Jankowski Salyan (Daniel); two brothers, Thomas Jankowski (Kerry), and Ronald Jankowski (Cindy) as well as many nieces and nephews.

Robert was predeceased by his father Walter J. Jankowski.

Friends and family will be received at the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc., 1303 East State Street, Olean, on Thursday, September 02, 2021 from 10:30-12:30 with funeral to follow at the funeral home. Dr. Rev. Anthony Evans, will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany.
