Rose M. Kwiatkowski Loving mother and grandmother
Olean - Rose M. Kwiatkowski, of Olean, passed away peacefully Sunday (April 9, 2023) at Olean General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Born May 13, 1935 in Olean, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Angeline Kosinski Convey. On May 12, 1962 in St. John’s Church, in Olean she married Charles F. Kwiatkowski, Jr., who predeceased her on August 13, 2021.
Rose was a graduate of Olean High School. She worked for Clark Brothers as a receptionist, then went on to work for the Olean School District.
She was a parishioner at St. John’s Church and a member of the Pulaski Club Ladies Auxiliary. Rose enjoyed planting and taking care of the flowers around her house. She was a fan of the Buffalo Bills and the Bonnies. Rose enjoyed taking long car rides with her husband and listening to Polka music.
Rose is survived by two children, Charles (Kathleen) Kwiatkowski III of Olean and Laura Berlinski of Allegany; seven grandchildren Matthew and Nathan Kwiatkowski, and Mychal, Max and Molly Berlinski, Bridget (Tim) Chichester and Kaitlyn Cooney; a sister Diane Victor; many nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by three sisters, Teresa Kochaniec, Nancy Frisina, and Josephine Convey; and one brother, Daniel Convey.
Friends will be received from 9 to 11a.m. Monday (April 17, 2023) at St. John’s Catholic Church, 931 N. Union St., Olean. A memorial mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11a.m. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery and at the convenience of the family.
Memorials may be made to an organization of the donor’s choice.
