Sheila Hitchcock Obituary
Allegany- Sheila A. Hitchcock, of Cooper Hill Road, Allegany, passed away Thursday (March 10, 2022) at the Olean General Hospital.
Born February 19, 1946, in Olean, she was the daughter of the late Hearl E. and Marion McClain Elwood. She married Roy D. Hitchcock, who survives.
Sheila had worked for the former St. Joseph’s Manor and Bush Brothers. She was a member of Mt. Zion Christian Assembly and enjoyed painting and ceramics.
Besides her husband, she is survived by; one daughter Tiea Hoy of Allegany; one sister, Barb Elwood of Olean; one sister-in-law, Carol A. Elwood of Olean; four stepchildren; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by; one daughter, Melissa Johnson in 2001 and two brothers, Robert and James Elwood.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday (March 15, 2022) at St. Bonaventure Cemetery at 11am.
