Sylvia Foster Obituary
Olean- Sylvia L. Foster of the Haskell Road, passed away Wednesday (May 24, 2023) peacefully at the Absolut of Allegany.
Born September 4, 1942, in Olean, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Gertrude Sturm Scott. She married James Foster, who predeceased her.
Sylvia was a devoted homemaker and housewife to her husband and sons.
She is survived by; four sons, David Foster of Cuba, Stephen (Deanna) Foster of Olean, Paul Foster of Olean, and Douglas Foster of Olean; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one brother, James Scott of Olean.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by one son, Scott James Foster.
Friends will be received at the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc. 1303 E. State Street on Sunday from 1-3 pm with funeral services following at 3 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be Tuesday (May 30, 2023) in Allegany Cemetery.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Cattaraugus County SPCA, 2944 Route 16N, Olean.
