Olean- Teodora C. Butinski of Olean, passed away Wednesday (February 3, 2021), shortly after arrival at the Olean General Hospital.
Born August 20, 1941 in Pidigon Province of Abra, Philippines, she was the daughter of the late, Policarpio and Agustina Carsola Pisco. On February 16, 1963, she married Robert J. Butinski, who predeceased her on December 6, 1999.
Teodora first worked for the former Castle Hotel. She later worked for Cutco Cutlery retiring after thirty-one years of service. She was a lifetime member of the Hinsdale American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the United Steelworkers Union #5429. She was also a longtime parishioner at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels. In her free time, Teodora enjoyed gardening and playing bingo.
Surviving are four children; Richard (Karen) Butinski of Franklinville, Rebecca Ann Moszak of Olean, Susan (Mike) Benca of San Antonio, TX., and Michael Butinski of Omaha, NE; eight grandchildren, Joshua Butinski, Brandyn Butinski, Ryan Benca, Sage Benca, Jacob Benca, Preston Butinski, Jonathon Butinski, and Andrew Butinski; three great-grandchildren, Ayden, Ronan, and Breezy Butinksi; three step-grandchildren, Carl Barr, Brittney Barr, and Laura Ernest; three step- great-grandchildren, Abigail Ernest, Natalie Barr, and Alex Barr; one brother, Antonio Pisco; a very dear friend, John Peters; a sister-in- law, Genevieve (Thomas) Blazejewski; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two brothers; Erning and Lando; and one sister, Blandina.
Friends will be received at the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc., 1303 E. State Street, Olean on Wednesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday (February 11, 2021) at 10am at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels. Burial will follow at St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany.
