Theresa M. Sweeney loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother

Theresa M. Sweeney, passed away Sunday (December 3, 2023) at the Bradford Regional Medical Center after a long illness.

She was born on March 31, 1942 in Kent, PA., to the late John and Anna Bosko Prymak.

Theresa was a graduate of Olean High School. She worked as a secretary in the career development center at St. Bonaventure University for 25 years. Theresa was very talented with painting her ceramic pieces, she also enjoyed knitting and crocheting for fun.

Theresa is survived by her three children, Maureen (Tim) Nelson, Chris (Maureen) Sweeney and Katie (Marc) Hoefler; five grandchildren, Kevin (Kelly) Patterson, Josh (Bethany) Sweeney, Robbie (Krissy) Patterson, Tyler (Jordan) Sweeney and Savannah Nelson; four great grandchildren, Zella, Oakland, Nolan and Grayson; four siblings, Rosalie VandeWalker, Michaelene Ingalls, Bob Prymak and David Prymak; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; a brother, John Prymak; and a sister, Margie Pascucci.

Friends will be received from 11a.m. to 12p.m. on Saturday (December 16, 2023) at the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc. 1303 East State St. Olean with a memorial service beginning at 12 pm. with Theresa’s brother David Prymak officiating. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Allegany.
