Victor Srodawa

Olean – Victor J. Srodawa, passed away Saturday (July 8, 2023) at Salamanca Rehabilitation and Nursing Center following a long illness.

Born February 2, 1936, in Olean, he was the son of the late Victor and Anna Jonak Srodawa. On Oct. 19, 1989, in Allegany, he married Diane Puccinelli, who predeceased him on April 26, 2013.

After graduating Olean High School and attending college for a year, Victor joined the Navy and served from 1955 to 1958. He went on to work for Suntran Turbo in Denver, Colorado, as a machinist. Victor also worked for an aircraft company in Hutchinson, Kansas. After settling in Olean, Victor had memberships with the Hinsdale American Legion Post 1434, the Salamanca VFW, and was a past member of the Transfiguration Church of Olean.

Surviving is a niece, Polly (Louis) Giordano and a nephew, Martin (Kris) Srodawa..

He was predeceased by his parents, and wife Diane.

Graveside services for Victor will be held on Wednesday (July 19, 2023) at 11:30 am at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Olean, with military honors accorded by the Allegany American Legion.
